CAD Services to the Contruction Industry.
I am a contractor based in Menston, West Yorkshire and have 20 years experience working for a multitude of different companies, from small local practices to large multi-nationals. You can hire me to work at your company premises or you can outsource directly to me. I work on both an hourly rate or fixed price depending on your needs.

Mainly to draw Mechanical and Electrical services module manufacturing drawings using CAD-Duct. Also using the same software to draw services risers and plantrooms with a view to build off site.
To take 2D coordinated Mechanical services drawings and convert them into 3D drawings for manufacture. The procedure for this comprises firstly in laying out 3D unistrut frames along corridors and in rooms where services including pipework, ductwork and cable containment lay. All the 3D components from "CAD-Duct" software are then inserted into the drawings right down to the last nut and bolt for fixings. Coordination is checked and all components numbered and a Bill Of Materials is produced and the final drawing is sent to the on-site factory facility for assembly. I have also worked on plantrooms and service risers. Projects I have worked on include PFI Hospitals, Glaxo Smith Kline's two new manufacturing centres and more recently Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport.
A new start up company CAD Bureau, my job was to complete the different variety of jobs that came through the door. One of which was draw piece by piece in 3D a new design for a folk lift truck. Other work included drawing in 2D, fronts of all Lloyds TSB branches and superimposing new signage for planning permission.
Initially taken on for 3 months to help out on various schools projects. I was soon moved onto a highly sensitive job for British Telecom involving updating services to miles of underground tunnels.
Initially taken on for 2 months to help out on Sanofi's new Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Centre. I was kept on for a further two and a half years to work on this job. Duties included draughting of Mechanical and Electrical services drawings for use on site.
Duties as a draughtsman included producing 2D building services drawings from hand drawn sketches using AutoCAD software. Projects worked on included Schools & Hospitals. In addition to this I was to take control of the Cad Department in the event of the CAD Managers absence. Duties included receiving and booking in drawings from engineers, distributing the work between CAD Operators and checking completed drawings and making sure engineers received a correct and accurate drawing back on time.
